The Egyptian Communities in Europe cast their votes on the third and last day of the constitutional amendments in an atmosphere full nationalism and joy.

All of the voters assured that taking part in the referendum is a national duty in order to affirm the principles of the 30th of June revolution and in order to continue president Abdelfattah El-Sissy's development strategy.

The voters also agreed that the huge participation throughout Europe signals Egypt's correct democratic procedures and that the Egyptians living abroad firmly believe in positive political participation no matter the outcome.

In France, Mr. Gabriel Mahfouz, head of the Egyptian community in Paris, said that despite the difficult circumstances of France's protests against the yellow jackets, the Egyptians insisted on participating in the amendments to convey a message to the world that the Egyptians have the heart of one man and their political leadership.

He described the amendment granting Egyptians abroad seats in parliament as "historic" and will aid in helping Egyptian communities abroad express their views effectively and contribute to the crucial decisions of the state.

In Italy, Sana Mogazzi, president of the Egyptian Lotus Association in Milan, said the Egyptian community had participated in the constitutional referendum for the security and safety of the country and to complement the progress and growth led by the president.

She added that the current situation in neighboring Arab countries requires the Egyptians to join forces to protect the national security of the country.
