CAIRO, Feb. 10 (SEE) - Egypt topped travel destinations for the US tourists in 2018 with a growth of 145 percent, according to Squaremouth Insurance Company.
Morocco came in second place as the most popular destination, with an increase of 72.81 percent, followed by Tanzania and Columbia respectively.
Egypt witnessed a rapid increase in visits from Generation X as well as Tanzania. Generation X is the demographic cohort following the baby boomers and preceding the Millennials, whose people were born from the 60s to 80s.
Baby Boomer and Silent Generation travelers also considered Egypt as a preferred destination for them.
