Egypt, Germany to Launch Joint Projects in Energy Field

Dr. Mohamed Shaker, Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, held a meeting on Wednesday with CEO of German Siemens Co. Joe Kaiser on the sidelines of the fifth Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue on April.

Kaiser expressed his pride over the current cooperation relations with Egypt, especially with regard to the establishment of three energy plants in Egypt at a record time of only 28 months. He praised Egypt's pioneering experience in modernizing the electricity sector as an inspiring model for many countries worldwide.

Kaiser explained that Egypt's unlimited opportunities in the energy sector because its strategic role and position, particularly with regard to renewable and clean energy.

He stressed that the company's keenness to strengthen cooperation with Egypt in future within framework of development projects to transfer advanced technology which developed by "Siemens", especially in the generation of energy from renewable sources and clean.

Meanwhile, Dr.Shaker stressed the importance that Egypt attaches to the development of cooperation relations with the German company, especially. Siemens is considered an important partner for Egypt. The company is expected to launch more cooperation projects related to the electricity sector between Egypt and neighboring countries and Europe. The meeting was attended by Egypt's Ambassador to Germany, Bader Abd El- Aati.
