Egypt-Bahrain Trade Exchange Hit $917.2 Mln

The economic relations between Egypt and Bahrain have witnessed many and varied forms in all aspects of commercial, investment, development and tourism activities.

The volume of Bahraini investments in Egypt reached $3.2 billion.

It has 216 projects in Egypt.

The Kingdom of Bahrain ranks 16th on the list of countries investing in the Egyptian market.

- Trade exchange between Egypt and Bahrain increased to $917.2 million during 2021.

The value of Egyptian exports to Bahrain reached $450.7 million during 2021.

- Bahrain's exports to Egypt increased to $224 million.

- 10 major Bahraini companies invest $753.3 million in Egypt, including a number of existing investments in the financial and banking sectors.

The most important Egyptian exports to Bahrain: furniture, iron, machinery, equipment, vegetables, legumes, foodstuffs, cosmetics, cotton, and ceramics. It is expected that Egypt will open new markets for Egyptian products in the Bahraini market by exporting carpets, textiles, cotton, as well as marble and granite. And cement.

The most important Egyptian imports from Bahrain: petroleum derivatives, oils, plastic products, aluminum and its products, cleaning preparations, iron and steel.

The value of remittances from Egyptians working in Bahrain recorded $127.7 million during the fiscal year 2019/2020, compared to $107.7 million during the fiscal year 2018/2019, an increase of 18.6%.

The value of remittances from Bahrainis working in Egypt amounted to $1.8 million during the fiscal year 2019/2020, compared to $3.1 million during the fiscal year 2018/2019, a decrease of 40.6%.
