China’s Embassy Inaugurates New Consular Center

CAIRO, Dec. 17 (SEE)- China’s Ambassador to Egypt Song Aigou commenced today an official Chinese visa application center in Cairo that is set to begin operation starring today, Monday 17 December.

During his speech at the opening of the new consular services center in Cairo, the Chinese Ambassador expressed his happiness with the use of the word "Mabrouk" in Arabic, adding that the new visa or visa center will serve many Egyptian citizens traveling to China for various purposes.

Aigou praised the Egyptian-Chinese relations and the rapid development witnessed at all levels, especially peoples’ communication.

According to a statement, VFS will be responsible for operating the center. The center will provide services to many categories of passengers, including Egyptian passport holders and VIP passport holders traveling to China for a short visit or for training.

Diplomats and VIP passport holders from all diplomatic missions in Egypt, as well as Egyptian diplomatic, private and important passport holders traveling to China to work or carry out an official mission, can still apply for Chinese visas at the Consular Section at the Chinese Embassy.

The new center will run from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm for documents and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm for delivery of documents.
