CAIRO, March.2 (SEE)- The African Football Confederation (CAF) has set the date for the draw for the next African Nations Cup that will be held from 21 June until 19 July in Egypt.
The 12th of April was decided by the CAF and is now set as the date for the draw of the tournament and will take place in the Pyramids region. Egypt won the right to host the tournament after Cameroon was disqualified.
Cameroon would have hosted the competition for the first time since 1972. They were also the title holders after winning the previous edition. On 30 November 2018, Cameroon was stripped of hosting the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations due to infrastructural delays, the Boko Haram insurgency and the Anglophone Crisis.
