GERMANY, Nov. 28 (SEE)- As part of the policy of educational openness pursued by Germany in recent years, a cross-border education conference was held in Berlin today entitled "International Moorings: New Roles for TNE in Research & Teaching, Industry and Politics."

Worth noting is that Education has become a bridge for communication and integration to the extent that it can be said that there are other diplomatic channels capable of strengthening understanding and rapprochement between different states, including educational diplomacy.

Egypt took part at the opening session of the conference represented by Dr. Ashraf Mansour, the first founder and chairman of the Board of Trustees of the German University in Cairo (GUC).

Dr.Mansour contributed in the discussion session organized by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

Most Germans consider the German University in Cairo to be Germany's largest bilateral project, accounting for 60% of the total volume of German bi-national projects.

The opening session displayed the successful experience of the German University in Egypt.

The forum was attended by distinguished guests who include Doretta Rowland, Secretary General of DAAD, group of Germany Industry and education experts like Prof. Dr. Angela Itell (Tu Berlin), Dr. Mathizs Patrold (Moderator), Peter Greisler (BMBF), Dr. Dietrich Moller (Siemen Russland) and Hidrum Temple (Auswartiges, AMT).
