The Confederation of African football (CAF) revealed the prize the winner of the prestigious tournament will reveal.
The tournament is set to take place in Egypt between the 21st of June until the 19th of July, and will be the first time 24 nations will compete.
The CAF revealed that the winner of the tournament will receive 4 million and 500,000 dollars, which is equivalent to 78 million Egyptian pounds.
On the other hand Ahmed Megahed, member of the Egyptian football federation, revealed that the federation is expecting to receive 600,000 million dollars in the coming days as a prize for the team’s qualifications for the tournament.
Egypt has been placed with Uganda, Zimbabwe, and DR Congo in group A, with the opening match between Egypt and Zimbabwe taking place at the Cairo stadium 10 o’clock local time.
