AEW Dynasty's Danielson-Ospreay Become 2nd Top-Ranked Pro Wrestling Match in History by Won

On Friday, Pro Wrestling renowned critic Dave Meltzer, who is known with historical rating system of pro wrestling matches, rated Bryan Danielson match against Will Ospreay at AEW Dynasty with 6 stars and a half. 

Posted by Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which is one of the earliest pro wrestling newsletters, Danielson-Ospreay match became the second top-highest-ranked match after Kenny Omega against Kazuchika Okada at New Japan Pro Wrestling Dominion 6.9 in 2018.

In addition, Ospreay's five star or more ranked matches increased to 38 matches, inclduing 6 in 2024. 

On the other hand, this match is the third 5-star match or more ranked for Danielson in 2024.

Both Ospreay and Danielson had a 5-star or more ranked match in 2024 against Okada.

Danielson faced Okada in NJPW Wrestle Kingdom in January. The match ended with the victory of the Japanese star.

While, Ospreay wrestled against Okada in NJPW Battle in the Valley in January. The match ended with a victory for the Japanese.
