Abdul Ghaffar: Russia Offers 20 Scholarships for Egyptians

CAIRO,  Mar. 10 (SEE)- Dr. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said that 20 scholarships were offered from the Russian Federation to obtain a doctorate in all disciplines except arts and music.

The required documents must be submitted to the General Directorate of Missions at the Liberation Complex. Candidates must be members of faculty members of Egyptian public universities, institutes, bodies and research centers. The applicant must not be older than 32 years of age and must be an assistant teacher or equivalent at least one year and a half on the first day of September 2019, and obtaining 67 degrees in IBT or 5.5 degrees in the IELTS test.

The Russian side provides a monthly salary of 6000 rubles for doctoral students, as well as the provision of health care under the health insurance policy at the expense of the member and the value of about 200 US dollars annually, and vary depending on the city and university bound by the student.

The minister announced also there are  75 grants from Russia for the academic year 2019/2020, distributed as follows: 30 grants in the field of energy and nuclear technology, 3 grants in the field of earth sciences, 4 grants from the Russian Ministry of Culture, 6 Grants from the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, and 32 scholarships in various disciplines.
