CAIRO, March 5 (SEE)- Representatives from Zewail City for Science and Technology (ZCST) and 'Tanmyah' corporation specialized in micro-financing, have signed today a cooperative agreement to offer new scholarships
This was in Zewail City’s headquarter in sixth of October in the presence of teaching staff and board of directors’ members in 'Tanmyah' institution.
The total cost of scholarships is 662.500 L.E and they are directed to ZCST’s students in the coming 5 years.
It’s remarkable that ZCST is seeking to develop student’s skills and creative abilities in lines with Egypt’s vision 2030.
On his part, Sherif Sedki, CEO of ZCST declared his pleasure to cooperate with 'Tanmyah' company in order to improve scientific and technological research in Egypt, the Middle East and the whole world.
Sedki also stressed his desire to cooperate with other sectors and institutions to enhance education quality in Egypt as a fundamental pillar for nation’s renaissance.
In the same context, Amr Abu Ash, the founder, chairman and managing director at 'Tanmyah', stated the company is ready to support all society’s categories especially youth and women.
Abu Ash stressed the above mentioned scholarships are going to have positive effects on students.
It’s worth mentioning that ZCST is a nongovernmental institution established in 2000 and inaugurated in 2011 by Prof. Ahmed Zewail, who was a nobel prize laureate.
Since its inauguration, it has been playing a major role in preparing an excellent generation able to think creatively and master basic sciences.
On the other hand, 'Tanmyah' is an Egyptian company founded in 2009 in order to finance wide categories of Egyptians through microfinance programs.
In 2018, the company raised its microfinance operations to 223.763 with 3.3 billion pounds total cost.
During this year, the customers’ number raised also to almost 260 thousand in the company's 217 domestic branches.
