18 Scholarships to Arab Citizens from BUE, Shorouk Academy

CAIRO, March 12 (SEE) – The British University in Egypt (BUE) and Shorouk Academy, owned by Egyptian businessman Farid Khames, announced Tuesday that they will grant 18 annual scholarships to Arab citizens.

Three scholarships from the BUE will be given to Egyptian citizens. Other scholarships will be granted to the League of the Arab States (LAS), Kuwait and Iraq.

On its part, Shorouk will provide three fully-funded scholarships to LAS which will decide to which countries it will give and six scholarships to both Kuwait and Iraq.

The announcement came during a symposium held at LAS under the motto of "LAS and Middle East: Reality and Challenges."

LAS Secretary General Ahmed Aboul Gheit took part in the event and gave a speech.
