Saba Mubarak in Talks to Star in TV Series "Watar Hassas"

Jordanian actress/producer Saba Mubarak is in talks to star in the TV series "Watar Hassas". 

Mubarak will reunite with "Ben Al Sutoor" director Wael Farag if she goes for the role. She is set to decide on the role in the next two weeks. 

"Ben Al Sutoor" debuted last January and starred Ahmed Fahmi, Nardine Farag, Ali Eltayeb, Mohamed Alaa, Walid Fawaz, and more.

Farag directed the 30-episode series from a script by screenwriters Mariam Naoum and Naglaa Al-Hadini.

Al Serb

Mubarak will be seen next in the highly-anticipated film “Al Serb" (The Squadron).

The film features a starry cast that includes Ahmed El Sakka, Mona Zaki, Mustafa Fahmy, Amr Abdel-Galil, Hend Sabry, Sherif Mounir, Mohamed Mamdouh, Diab, Islam Gamal, Ahmad Hatem, Asser Yassin, Karim Fahmy, Mahmoud Abdel-Moghni, Kosai Khauli, Amr Abdul Gelil, Diab, Karim Fahmy, Asser Yassin, and more.

"Al Serb” was first announced back in 2021 and hails from scriptwriter Omar Abdel Halim and director Ahmed Nader Galal. Synergy Films is the studio behind the film.

It is centered around the airstrike carried out by the army in Libya against ISIS after the extremist group massacred 21 Coptic Egyptians under the title of a message signed with blood. Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi promised retribution and he fulfilled it.

“Al Serb" is set to premiere on May 1.

Mubarak, born on April 10, 1976, received a bachelor's degree in theater acting and directing from Yarmouk University in 2001. 

In 1998, she started her career in the series “Sihr wa Qamar” (Magic and a Moon), after which she co-starred in Jordanian and Syrian TV productions such as “Omar al Khayam,” “Belqeis”, and “Al Arwah Al Mohajira”. 

Mubarak made her debut in Jordanian cinema in the 2003 film “Sifr Al Ganha”. She also starred in the films “Khareg Al Taghtiya” and “Mamlakat Al Naml”.

In 2010, the actress was first introduced to Egypt through her first role in the film “Bentein min Masr” (Two Girls from Egypt). She made her acting debut on the small screen in Egyptian television series such as “Sharbat Louz”, “Hekayat Banat”, and “Nassim El Rouh”. 

Her TV credits also include "Haq Mayyet", “Al Ahd: El Kalam El Mobah”, “Afrah El-qwba”, "Tayea", "Moon Knight", "Suits bel Arabi", and "Touba".

On the film side, Mubarak is best known for her performances in "Al-Thaman", "The Guest: Aleppo-Istanbul", "Banat Abulrahman", "Amira", and "Anf wa Thalath Oyoun".
