Zesty Green Chili Garlic Salsa

This vibrant and zesty green chili garlic salsa is perfect for tacos, grilled meats, or as a dip for chips. Packed with fresh, bold flavors, it’s the ultimate addition to your spicy sauce collection!

Ingredients

10 fresh green chilies (adjust for spice level)

2 garlic cloves

1 small onion, chopped

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 cup fresh cilantro leaves

1 teaspoon cumin powder

Juice of 1 lime

1/2 teaspoon sugar (optional)

Salt to taste

1/2 cup water or vegetable stock

Instructions

Prep the Chilies

Remove the stems from the chilies. For a milder salsa, deseed them.

Sauté the Base

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.

Blend It Up

In a blender, combine the sautéed onion and garlic, chilies, cilantro, cumin powder, lime juice, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt. Add the water or vegetable stock and blend until smooth.

Adjust the Flavor

Taste the salsa and adjust seasoning with more salt, lime juice, or sugar as needed.

Serve and Enjoy

Pour the salsa into a bowl and serve immediately as a dip or topping. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
