Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Saturday that his country is ready to launch a long-awaited counterattack against Russia, saying that "it may take some time and it will be very costly".
In an interview with 'Wall Street Journal', Zelensky said that "Ukraine believes that the counterattack against Russia will succeed," adding: "I don't know how long it will take, and to be frank, the form of the operation can be completely different, but we will implement it, and we are ready."
In another context, Zelensky expressed concern that the US elections next year will lead to an administration less supportive of power, calling on NATO to provide a clear path to Ukraine's membership.
