Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif commented on the U.S. peace plan announced by American President Donald Trump yesterday, Tuesday, describing it as a nightmare for the region and the world.

“The so-called ‘Vision for peace’ is simply the dream project of a bankruptcy-ridden real estate developer,” Zarif tweeted, adding “And, hopefully, a wake-up call for all the Muslims who have been barking up the wrong tree.”

It is worth mentioning that, Trump announced the details of the peace plan, in a press conference, in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

He has proposed the creation of a Palestinian state with a capital in East Jerusalem in an effort to achieve a breakthrough.

Under the proposed plan, the United States will recognize Israeli settlements on the occupied West Bank and in exchange, Israel would agree to accept a four-year freeze on new settlement activity while Palestinian statehood was being negotiated.
