Zamalek Snatch Late Victory against Ettihad in Egyptian Cup (1-0)

Zamalek snatched a late goal against El-Ettihad at Ismailia stadium, earning themselves a ticket to the final of the Egyptian cup against the winner between Pyramids and Petrojet.

The White giants started the match strong and didn't take long to attempt a chance on Ettihad's goal with Youssef Obama wasting a chance early on in the 9th minute. Obama came back in the 18th minute to waste a critical chance after his shot hit the post.

In the second half, El-Ettihad wasted their first major chance after a super header from El-Deeb with Awad barely making the save in the 59th minute. Zamalek came back in the 79th minute wasting another pivotal after Mostafa Mohamed shot the ball in the narrow corner of the keeper. The entirety of the match wasn't enough to decide a winner, thus extra time as needed.

Zamalek scored their winning goal of the match in the 112th minute after Mostafa Mohamed translated Shikabala's corner cross into goal.
