YouTube and Instagram have been suspended in the Kherson region, according to Sergey Moroz, press secretary of the military-civilian administration of the region.
Moroz indicated that YouTube in the Kherson region was disabled a few days ago. “Now we are without YouTube, without Instagram,” Moroz said.
“Well, it is okay, we manage somehow, it is normal.” At the same time, he did not disclose the details of the blocking.
The Russian Defense Ministry reported in mid-March that the Russian troops had taken control of the entire Kherson region, and in late April, the Civil-Military Administration was formed there that in the region.
The Russian and Ukrainian currencies are currently used there, and the Russian phone code “7+” has been switched to, and Russian TV channels and broadcast.
In the same vein, the European Union and the US imposed a package of sanctions against Russia, which European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen described as the harshest ever.
Nevertheless, the EU and NATO have so far insisted on not engaging in any military operation in Ukraine, and the EU countries also refuse to impose a no-fly zone in the country.
Kyiv called on the West to take that step, but the US administration said it would cause the outbreak of a “third world war.”
