Yosra El Lozy: I Read Stories to My Hearing Impaired Daughter

Egyptian actress Yosra El Lozy said, Friday night, she always reads stories to her hearing impaired daughter, giving credit of learning Modern Standard Arabic to her Syrian grandmother.

In her episode with TV host Mona Elshazly, Lozy revealed that she participated in "Hadi Badi" initiative, 'Save with Stories,' organized by ‘Save the Children’ organization, through reading stories to children during the Coronavirus period.

“Reading to children is very important in order to expand their imagination and horizon,” Lozy asserted. “I always read stories to my daughter because she has a hearing disorder, while reading will develop her awareness.”

she pointed that she has never been in Foreign schools, stressing that she loved Arabic language because of her grandmother, as Syrians are known for their fondness of Arabic language. she did not forget to mention her Arabic teacher Refaat, who had an effective role in making her love the language.

The actress admitted that she is a curious one, bringing back flashbacks when she became pregnant for the first time and went to the doctor, accompanied by her husband.

The doctor examined her with a sonar device and said: “Do you want to know the sex of the baby?,”  to which the actress respond quickly, “Yes, I want to know.”

Nonetheless, the doctor could not tell the sex of the baby, claiming that it was not clear yet.
