WYF to Hold Press Conference Today to Announce 5th Edition

The board of the World Youth Forum (WYF) will hold a press conference, today, to announce the details of the fifth edition of the forum.

The conference will be attended by a number of Egyptian, and international institutions, including UN parties, alongside Egyptian and international reporters. 

The Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Egypt Christian Berger, the UN Resident Coordinator in Egypt, UNDP Resident Representative Alessandro Fracassetti, Director of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office in Egypt Eric Ochlan, FAO Representative in Egypt Nasr El-Din Haj El-Amin, WHO Representative in Egypt Naeema al-Jasser, and Chief Mission of IOM in Egypt Carlos Oliver will attend the conference.

Moreover, the event will witness the presence of the UN Women Representative in Egypt Christine Arab, the UN Population Fund Representative in Egypt Frederica Meyer, the Representative of UN Volunteers in Egypt Heba Nossier, the Representative of UNICEF Jeremy Hopkins, UNHCR Assistant Representative John Solecki, and the director of UNESCO office in Egypt, the director of the ICRC Egypt delegation, and a number of UN institutions and offices representatives in Egypt.

A huge number of reporters, journalists, and media figures from different national and international media platforms will attend the conference. 

The WYF is an annual global event held, under the auspices of President Sisi. The forum was launched in three editions in the past years 2017, 2018, and 2019.

The forum aims to bring together the world's youth in order to promote dialogue and discuss development issues, and to send a message of peace and prosperity from Egypt to the world.

The United Nations Commission for Social Development has adopted the three previous editions of the World Youth Forum in Egypt as an international platform for discussing youth issues.
