The famous “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot is set to play Cleopatra in the new Hollywood film about the legendary Egyptian queen Cleopatra VII Philopator, the last pharaoh in the ancient Egyptian history and the last ruler of the Ptolemy line.
The film is set to be directed by Patty Jenkins who also worked with Gadot on her two Wonder Woman films, “Wonder Woman” and “Wonder Woman 1984” that is yet to reach the cinemas.
According to “Deadline”, Jenkins had already pitched the new Pharaonic film to Paramount Pictures with Laeta Kalogridis who is set to write the screenplay.
Not to mention that Apple, Warner Bros., Universal and Netflix were all considered as potential producers for the film.
