The agent of Al Ahly’s winger Geraldo da Costa has excluded a potential transfer for his client away from the team, revealing that the board hasn’t spoken with him about anything regarding the player's future thus far.
The Angolan International featured in Al Ahly’s final showdown in the CAF Champions League final against Zamalek which saw the African Club of the Century get crowned champions for the ninth time.
He also started for the team in their 2-1 win over Ittihad of Alexandria and will likely take part in the final against Talae El Gaish.
However, Geraldo hasn’t been really in shape with the Ahly since arriving, as he scored five goals and made seven assists in 42 games in almost two years so far.
Geraldo to Stay at Ahly
“Al Ahly board haven’t talked with me at all regarding Geraldo. The player’s interest is what concerns me. I am in constant contact with him and there is nothing at the moment,” Bin Saleh told Al Nahar TV.
“The player is staying at Al Ahly and the proof is his registration in the team’s squad for next season. His departure is highly unlikely.”
“He [Geraldo] is staying at Al Ahly and nobody knows what the future holds,” he added.
