The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, has called on donor organizations not to suspend financial support for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees (UNRWA), according to Cairo News Channel.

Ghebreyesus stated in a post on his Twitter account: "We urge donors not to suspend their funding for UNRWA at this critical moment."

He emphasized that "cutting funding will only harm the people of Gaza, who are suffering greatly and in desperate need of support."

The appeal comes amidst ongoing humanitarian challenges in the Gaza Strip and underscores the importance of continued international support for UNRWA's efforts to provide essential services to Palestinian refugees in the region.
