The World Health Organization (WHO) released Wednesday a report on the outbreak of dengue fever in the Americas since the beginning of the standing year.
Dengue fever is a viral disease caused by a mosquito called the yellow fever mosquito of Aedes aegypti.
Some three million either confirmed or suspected cases of dengue fever were reported this year which surpassed the number recorded throughout last year in tot.
The UN organization revealed that 45% of the cases have been proven laboratory in addition to 13% as severe cases of infection.
The WHO report pointed out that a big number of infections were recorded in Brazil, Peru, and Bolivia along with 1302 deaths in those three countries.
Death toll represents about 0.04% of the whole infections during the current year.
