The Coordinator of Strategic Communications at the National Security Council at the White House, John Kirby, announced that the United States of America (USA) does not see any intention of Russia to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
"We don't see - apart from the stormy rhetoric - any indication that [Moscow] has any intention of using nuclear weapons in Ukraine," Kirby said in a briefing.
He added, "I can also assure that we have not seen anything that would force us to change the position of our strategic means, and no such steps have been taken."
Kirby emphasized that the United States does not doubt at all the fact that the Russian Armed Forces continue to submit to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The representative of the US National Security Service stressed that "there is no indication of any changes in the leadership of the Russian armed forces."
