White House chief of staff Mark Meadows has tested positive for Coronavirus (Covid-19), Sources told Reuters on Saturday. It was not immediately clear when or how he was infected.
Meadows, who was at a White House election night party attended by dozens of Trump loyalists, is the latest official within Trump’s close circle to have contracted COVID-19, which has killed more than 236,000 Americans.
Noteworthy, a number of senior officials inside the White House and inside the Trump campaign, began to quietly withdraw from supporting the U.S. president, in a move to preserve themselves and their image, as the results in Pennsylvania and Georgia indicate that Trump will not win the re-election.
