Spanish space company PLD Space launched the first European private rocket, early Saturday.

The mission was launched from a site in southwest Spain, and it came after two previous attempts were dropped.
The first attempt was canceled due to bad weather conditions, while the second was failed.
Video footage of the team showed the rocket engineers while they were celebrating and congratulating each other once the flames of the rocket conquered the sky.

PLD Space Executive Director Raul Torres said after the launch: "My voice is shot after so much shouting."
Torres added that the rocket system worked "perfectly."
In addition, he said that this step is just the beginning of the project.
