The Swedish Foreign Minister, Ann Linde, sharply slammed Turkey, during a press conference with her Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu in the Turkish capital, Ankara, on Tuesday.
Linde accused the Justice and Development regime of fueling conflicts in Syria, Libya, and the Nagorno-Karabakh region, as well as its repeated violations in the Mediterranean Sea.
During the conference, the Swedish minister demanded the withdrawal of the occupying Turkish forces from the Syrian territories, accusing Ankara of being responsible for the pision of Syria and the persecution of the Kurds there.
Moreover, she expressed her rejection of the escalation of human rights violations and systematic arrests of Kurdish citizens inside Turkey.
On his part, Cavusoglu rejected the sharp tone of his Swedish counterpart, saying, "What is your capacity to ask us to withdraw from Syria... You cannot ask us to do so."
He accused Sweden of supporting the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which Ankara classifies as a terrorist organization.
Linde responded to Cavusoglu rebuke by saying: "I am your guest. I would not take a debate here."

In the same regard, she condemned Ankara's support for Azerbaijan with mercenaries, harassing Armenians and igniting the war in Karabakh.
Cavusoglu said that his government will not respond to the calls of the international community to implement a ceasefire in Karabakh unless Armenia withdraws, likening the situation in Nagorno Karabakh to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict over the Crimean island.
