Veteran Egyptian Businessman Mohamed El Fayed passed away at the age of 94 years old in London.
The funeral prayer was performed at the Regent's Park Mosque with the presence of dozens of people, including family members and friends.
The announcement was made by Ashraf Haidar, one of Al Faied's relatives.
Al Fayed was born in 1929 in Alexandria and moved to Dubai in 1960 to be one of the leading powers in the world of development and housing.
In 1975, he moved to the UK, and purchased various chains of hotels, including Harrods stores.
He was known for his close ties with the British Royal Family, and his son Dody died with Princess Diana in a car crash in 1997.
