On Sunday, the authorities of Venezuela accused Guayana of conducting illegal oil explorations in disputed territories between the two neighboring countries.
The government of Venezuela said that it would reverse the right to take any diplomatic actions.
The statements of the Venezuelan government came after Guyana's authorities' statements after receiving satellite images showing Venezuelan military moves near the mutual borders between both countries.
Venezuela responded that these moves were part of its right to beef up its border forces.
Venezuela asserted that Guayana granted “illegal oil concessions ... in a maritime area that is indisputably Venezuelan.”
