Pentagon Considers Training Ukrainian Troops on Patriot System on American Soil

Officials of the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) are considering training the Ukrainian armed forces to operate the Patriot missile defense system at a military base on the territory of the United States.

Politico, a US magazine, in its American version, quoted the officials of the Pentagon as saying that the department is studying whether to conduct all or part of the training in the United States or to set up the training at an American base in a European country.

Since the Russian invasion late in February, the Ukrainian armed forces have trained on a range of different NATO weapon systems, including the HIMARS missile systems, in Eastern Europe, Germany, and the United Kingdom. But up to this point, none of the training sessions have taken place.
