The United States highly valued more than 120 years of diplomatic relations with Bulgaria.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said, in a statement published by the US State Department on the occasion of Bulgaria’s National Day, on its website on Sunday: “Our partnership, based on shared democratic ideals, enhances peace and prosperity for both our countries and contributes to the unity and security of Europe and the transatlantic community.”
He added: "We recognize Bulgaria's commitment to deepening its integration into European institutions, ensuring energy security and economic vitality, and strengthening its partnership with NATO allies."
Blinken continued, saying: “We are united in our efforts to support Ukraine and its people as they fight to defend their country and their freedom from the war waged by the Kremlin.”
