The Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, discussed with his British counterpart, Admiral Sir Tony Radakin, on the telephone the developments of the war in Ukraine, the security environment in Eastern Europe, and other issues of common strategic importance.
The Staff spokesman Dave Butler noted that there is a long history of mutual support and cooperation between the United States (US) and the United Kingdom (UK), which is the cornerstone of a strong alliance and special relations.
In a related context, a spokesman for the US Joint Chiefs of Staff said that General Mark Milley also spoke by phone with his Ukrainian counterpart, General Valery Zalozny, and they discussed developments in the Ukrainian war and exchanged visions and assessments of the situation.
Milley also stressed his country's firm support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
