A senior official in the American cybersecurity sector has stated that the administration of President Joe Biden intends to require hospitals to meet minimum cybersecurity standards, following the exposure of a data breach affecting 100 million Americans, according to Bloomberg News Agency today, Thursday.
Anne Neuberger, Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology, stated in an interview at the Bloomberg Technology Summit in San Francisco today that they are looking to provide minimum cybersecurity standards in hospitals in the near term.
Neuberger did not disclose the timeframe in which the US administration plans to implement these standards.
