The Central Command indicated in its statement that the targeting also included a field planning official, and that the ISIS leader and planning official were responsible for attacks in the Middle East and Europe.
It confirmed that two other gunmen were killed in the raid.
And added, "There are no casualties among US forces, no damage to US helicopters, and no deaths or injuries among civilians, in our estimate".
