CAIRO, Jan. 11 (SEE) - US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is leaving Cairo within
less than two hours, heading to Manama, Bahrain where he will hold discussions
with Bahraini king and high-profile officials.
Pompeo’s two-day visit to Cairo has been accomplished after meeting
with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and
Director of General Intelligence Service Abbas Kamel, delivering a historic
speech at the AUC, New Cairo campus, metting with personnel of US Embassy in
Cairo and visiting the newly-opened mosque and church at the New Administrative
Capital.
The Secretary is expected to arrive in Manama to attend a working lunch with King Hamad bin Isa Al KHalifa, Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa at 1:20 pm (Bahrain Local Time).
Then, Secretary Pompeo will meet with personnel of U.S. Embassy Manama, in Manama, Bahrain, before he tours and receives a briefing from the United States Naval Forces Central Command, in Manama, Bahrain.
