US envoy to the United Nations has conveyed a firm message regarding the escalating humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

"United States has communicated directly with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, emphasizing that Israel must urgently address the severe situation facing civilians in Gaza," Linda Thomas-Greenfield said.

Moreover,US envoy stated that the U.S. strongly opposes any actions by Israel to restrict basic necessities for Palestinians in Jabalia or other areas, underscoring that Israel’s assurances must be reflected in real and immediate efforts on the ground. “Currently, these actions are not taking place, and this must change immediately,” she emphasized.

Furthermore, Greenfield reiterated US's stance that Israel must allow the delivery of essential food, medicine, and other supplies throughout Gaza, particularly in the north, and ensure the protection of those distributing aid, especially as winter approaches.

She also expressed deep concerns about recent legislation passed by the Knesset that could impact the work of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), which provides critical services to Palestinian refugees.

Furthermore, US envoy called for immediate humanitarian relief, noting that the U.S. continues to press for concrete actions to alleviate the ongoing crisis in Gaza.
