The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin was released from the hospital, Wednesday, after he was admitted to it for undergoing non-surgical procedures, according to the Pentagon.
The US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin is expected to “resume his normal duties," on Tuesday, one day after his admission to the hospital.
Austin underwent non-surgical procedures to address his bladder issues, the statement of the Pentagon said, highlighting: "We anticipate a successful recovery and will closely monitor him overnight."
The Pentagon’s statement added that “a prolonged hospital stay is not anticipated” for the Defense Secretary and “his cancer prognosis remains excellent”.
