US Congress has finally approved a huge investment plan worth $1.2 trillion put forward by President Joe Biden; to modernize and upgrade the country's "giant" infrastructure.

It should be noted that the bill, which the House of Representatives (HoR) passed yesterday evening with a comfortable majority after ten Republican lawmakers joined the Democratic majority in its support.

The plan was approved by the Senate last August, which means that all that is needed now is Biden's signature on it to enter into force.

The   "Al-Hurra", a US space channel reported today,  Saturday that the approval of the bill needed 218 votes to pass this plan to modernize roads and bridges and develop high-speed Internet, which is considered one of the most ambitious investment plans in modern American history.

In the end, the bill was approved by a majority of 228 lawmakers who voted in favor of it but 206 Congressmen voted against it.

In early October, US President Joe Biden said there was no hurry to pass his economic agenda after meeting with Democrats in the House of Representatives, amid tensions over how to proceed with the infrastructure bill passed by the Senate and a larger support package.

"We're going to get this done," Biden said as he left the caucus. "It doesn't matter when. It doesn't matter if it's six minutes or six days or six weeks we're going to get it done."

According to The Hill, a US newspaper specialized in covering US Congress,  Biden spoke to Democrats in Congress for about 30 minutes on October 1st.

It was the first time he had to go to Capitol Hill to push for his agenda since July when he met Senate Democrats.

Biden did not urge fellow Democrats to stick to a specific timetable for passing a trillion-dollar bipartisan infrastructure bill or the broader package to expand social safety programs during the nearly 40-minute meeting at the Capitol.
