US National Security Council spokesman Adam Hodge expressed on Wednesday, his country's condemnation of North Korea's launch of a long-range ballistic missile off the coast of Japan.
"This launch is a brazen violation of multiple UN Security Council resolutions and needlessly raises tensions and risks destabilizing the security situation in the region,” Hodge said in a statement.
"The door to diplomacy has not been closed, but Pyongyang must immediately cease its destabilizing actions and instead opt for diplomatic engagement," he added.
It is worth mentioning that, North Korea has fired a long-range ballistic missile, the South Korean military said Wednesday, days after Pyongyang threatened to down US spy planes that violated its airspace.
