US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken affirmed, on Monday, the United States’ commitment to cooperating with Rwanda in confronting various challenges.
Blinken said, in a statement published by the US State Department: “We remain committed to cooperating with Rwanda in confronting challenges in the areas of economic prosperity, food security, environmental protection, and strengthening the rule of law to ensure peace and stability at the regional and global levels.”
The US Secretary of State congratulated the Rwandan people on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of independence on July 1, and the 30th anniversary of Liberation Day on the 4th of July.
