Celebrations in Upper Egypt After President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to the village of Um Doma  in Sohag, the people of Upper Egypt felt forgotten for long periods of time.

I liked the president’s way of justifying the forgetfulness of previous governments: that the state was not able to meet their needs , and that what is happening in terms of development so far is great. The president was talking to the youth of Sohag who stood on the podium presenting what they had achieved for their country, and you feel proud when you listen to the president’s encouragement saying: "I am excited about you and your ideas.. I like creative thinking because it is possible to solve a problem that would never be solved by the traditional way". This is the same starting point with which the president replied to an upper Egypt citizen who said while fighting back his tears: " you eradicated terrorism,  I was crying because of terrorism.” The president responded: "God protected Egypt". This scene encouraged a child among the children with whom the president  was having breakfast, to say: “I love you Mr president.” Then his most important message was when he said:: all what had been dine is not a favor but it is your right".

I noticed the figures and the volume of spending on investments in one of the governorates of the south, which has been forgotten for many decades, but now it attract the global attention because of the wide change in the form of life and the giant national projects.

out of my work in the Investigative journalism for decades, we used to remember Sohag in campaigns to cover the demands of the people that included facing the effects of the torrential rains and consoling the families afflicted by poverty and the misery of life. Then, in the smallest village, the president was received roses as he came to them  with unprecedented real achievements including the industrial, agricultural, social and urban fields, to improve the level of services provided to them. Under the guidance of the political leadership, the Egyptian state succeeded in pumping large investments in the sectors of infrastructure, sanitation services, drinking water, and others amounted to 16.13 billion pounds and 4,119 projects.

The time has come for the Upper Egypt citizen to feel that he is a real part of development and that he is on the map of investment and the map of the president's human interest.. Upper Egypt really deserves a decent life.
