Philippe Lazzarini, the Commissioner-General of UNRWA, announced the suspension of aid delivery through the Karm Abu Salem border crossing due to unsafe road conditions.
He confirmed that armed gangs had stolen a large convoy of aid trucks, and subsequent attempts to deliver additional food trucks via the same route were unsuccessful, as those trucks were also seized.
Lazzarini emphasized that the ongoing blockade has made humanitarian operations in Gaza increasingly impossible.
