Egypt hosted a workshop aimed at enhancing national and regional activities to protect youth from violence, crime and drug addiction.
The workshop was a part of a programme launched in cooperation with the UNODC Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa.
Under the program entitled "The Impact of Youth", specialists from six countries, namely Egypt, Algeria, Lebanon, Sudan, Libya and Palestine, will use the power of sports, art and psychosocial support to protect young people from falling into the clutches of addiction.
The workshop aims to provide regional training to build the capacity of cadres working in the field of addiction treatment using the latest international standards in this regard.
