On Thursday, Universities of Canada in Egypt (Uof Canada) took part in the 2021 EduGate exhibition, which includes stands of state, private, community, Arab, and foreign universities.
The Uof Canada, during its participation at the exhibition, has worked to review its various study programs to attract a larger number of high school students.
On his part, Magdy El-Kady, Chairman of the university's Board of Trustees, said that the universities of Canada in Egypt were the first international campuses to be established in the New Administrative Capital in Egypt 3 years ago since its inauguration in July 2018.
He added that the Universities of Canada in Egypt were keen to provide the highest levels of university education by hosting the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) branch of Prince Edward University in Canada, which brings its study programs from Canada to Egypt with the same standards of education quality.
El-Kady confirmed that the Prince Edward University branch in Cairo is preparing to graduate its first senior class this year in a number of the most distinguished study programs, keeping pace with the requirements of the local and global market, such as sustainable design engineering, and computer science, which includes majors in video game programming, data analysis, in addition to business administration, which includes majors in entrepreneurship, marketing, finance, etc.).
He stated that the universities of Canada in Egypt hosted the Ryerson University branch at the Administrative Capital, where it intends to expand in the Middle East by offering a group of the most distinguished study programs such as Fashion, Sports Media, and Media Production, as well as civil engineering and electrical majors.
Ryerson University is distinguished by providing an educational environment based on practice and practical application, motivating students to develop their creative skills, as well as direct contact with the requirements of the labor market.
This model offers a unique learning experience, as students obtain their bachelor degrees from the mother university in Canada through its branch located in Egypt. This is in addition to providing the opportunity for the students wishing to complete their studies abroad at the university headquarters in Canada after completing the first academic year.
Indeed, a number of current students have moved to Canada to continue their university studies at Prince Edward University, while other students have had the opportunity to participate in some of the School of Sustainable Design's special events with their peers at the university in Canada.
