UNICEF Egypt has organized a Social Innovation Competition, which aims at empowering the youth in the society and encourage them to create new solutions for sustainable development that fit their social needs.
The UNICEF in Egypt is supporting young Egyptians who are enrolled in a number of public and private universities to come up with innovative digital solutions in coping with their social issues like climate change, environmental pollution, and soil salinity in line with Egypt’s 2030 vision, according to the United Nations for Children institution.
The competition acts as a beacon social innovators for young social innovators across Egypt, addressing a different issue facing the world nowadays, UNICEF Representative in Egypt Jeremy Hopkins said.
Furthermore, a number of guest speakers, as well as governmental officials and representatives of non-governmental organizations and UN partners, have been invited as competition judges.
