UNICEF spokesperson James Elder stated that children in Gaza are living through an endless nightmare.
He emphasized that the ultimate horror is for children to return to their homes only to relive their suffering all over again, warning that this is the current reality in Gaza.
Elder also stressed that there is no precedent in modern history where an entire child population requires psychological support. "This is not an exaggeration; this is the reality in Gaza," he said.
Meanwhile, Tommaso Della Longa, spokesperson for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, reported that doctors are exhausted, essential medical supplies are nearly depleted, and hospital corridors are overcrowded with people in urgent need of treatment or anxiously waiting to learn if their loved ones will survive.
