In a step intended to enhance the digital skills of Egyptians and refugees, UNHCR Egypt inaugurated on Monday the fifth Community Learning Center in the 6th of October City.
The center is part of the Youth in Digital Economy in Egypt Project, under the PROSPECTS partnership, to expand opportunities for refugee and Egyptian youth, according to UNHCR.
UNHCR said young refugees and Egyptians can access this center to enhance their digital skills by attending courses on Coursera thanks to funds from the Netherlands
The launching event featured appearances by Ms. Saya Teraoka, UNHCR Senior RSD Officer, and Ms. Marika Macco, TdH Head of Programmes, who highlighted the importance of empowering young refugees and Egyptians that will eventually engage in income-generating opportunities in the digital economy.
