The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has signed a new strategic partnership agreement with the Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt to enhance family planning services. The two-year partnership aims to address the unmet family planning needs in the country, improve the capacities of health service providers, and increase community awareness. The signing ceremony was attended by high-level officials, including the Minister of Health and Population and the UNFPA Representative in Egypt.

The partnership protocol serves the vision and directives of the President of the Republic to expand partnerships and cooperation with the private sector, to ensure the strengthening of the healthcare system and to solve the population issue, which is among the ministry's top priorities. The state's programs to address the population issue aim to achieve well-being and development in society by improving population characteristics and providing a safe life for newborns in all stages of their lives.

The Ministry has been keen in recent years to develop the infrastructure for healthcare and improve various healthcare facilities to ensure quality and expansion of services provided to citizens, including reproductive health services. The new partnership with the UNFPA is expected to further improve the quality of family planning services and increase their accessibility to the Egyptian population.

The strategic partnership is also in line with the Pharco Pharmaceuticals Group's strategy to partner with various private and public sector institutions, to serve the Egyptian community and benefit it. The cooperation seeks to secure local drug needs and localize its industry according to strict quality standards, whether local or international. This partnership is expected to have apositive impact on the local economy while providing quality healthcare services to the Egyptian population.

In conclusion, the UNFPA's new partnership agreement with the Ministry of Health and Population is a significant step towards enhancing family planning services in Egypt. The partnership aims to address the unmet family planning needs in the country, improve the capacities of health service providers, and increase community awareness. This partnership is also expected to have a positive impact on the local economy by providing quality healthcare services to the Egyptian population.
