Elena Panova, UN Resident Coordinator thanked Egypt for being one of the key contributors to global peace and security.
"Thank you Egypt! Thank you for being one of the main contributors to global peace and security with 3200 military and police peacekeepers deployed in various missions all over the world to resolve conflicts, build a culture of nonviolence and protect the most vulnerable," Panova tweeted.
"Happy Peacekeeping Day," she added.

A few days ago, Panova said that the organization has a close partnership with the Egyptian government and development partners to ensure a decent life for migrants in Egypt.
“We (UNEgypt), led by IOMEgypt and ldeboeck partner closely w the Government and many development partners to ensure a center, decent life for the most vulnerable migrants in Egypt,” Panova tweeted.
Panova’a remarks came to congratulate UN, after launching the first International Migration Review Forum. The 1st roundtable was co-chaired by Egypt and Germany.
